TFR 65 – Engaging Russia: A Return to Containment?
“Engaging Russia: A Return to Containment?”, the third in a series of reports on Russia that the Trilateral Commission has undertaken since 1995, is the work of authors from Asia Pacific, Europe, North America and Russia, and details areas of agreement and disagreement among them on where Russia is today, domestically and internationally, and what policy approaches the Trilateral countries should pursue toward Moscow, particularly in light of President Putin’s policy toward Ukraine. The report updates the Commission’s 2006 report entitled, “Engaging Russia: The Next Phase”. Paula Dobriansky is a Senior Fellow at Harvard University’s John F.
