Alberto Torrado Martínez has been CEO and Chairman of Alsea since its inception.
Alsea is now the largest restaurant operator in Latin America with more than 1,700 units in Mexico, Argentina, Colombia and Chile, operating leading brands such as Starbucks Coffee, Domino’s Pizza, Burger King, P.F. Chang’s, Chili’s, California Pizza Kitchen and others.
Torrado Martinez has also been President of the National Association of Fast Food Services, Director of the Camara Nacional de la Industria Restaurantera y de Alimentos Condimentados (CANIRAC) and Chairman of the Consejo de la Comunicación.
He is currently involved as a member of the Board of Directors of Santander Bank, Endeavor and other socially responsible institutions.
Torrado Martinez studied Accounting at the ITAM (Instituto Tecnologico Autonomo de Mexico). He has a post-graduate degree from the Instituto Panamericano de Alta Direccion de Empresas (IPADE), and has participated in several courses at Harvard Business School and Wharton.
