Christian Vollmann is a serial entrepreneur in the digital space in Berlin. He founded and co-founded several companies and shares his startup knowledge as an active Business Angel. Since 1999, he invested in more than 50 startups. He is Founder & Managing Director of Nebenan.de. and co-Founder of eDarling in Berlin. He currently serves as Head of Sales at ResearchGate, the global social network of sciences, where he was first investor (latest investors include Mr. Bill Gates). Christian Vollmann serves on the advisory council “Young Digital Economy” of the German Ministry of Economics. In this role, he advises the German Economic Minister, Mr. Sigmar Gabriel, on aspects related to fostering the German startup ecosystem. Mr. Vollmann is also Member of the Board of the “German Startups Association”, the main political lobbying group representing startups in Germany. His role here is to represent Business Angels. As member of the “Ashoka Support Network”, Christian Vollmann actively promotes Social Entrepreneurs in Germany and beyond. He studied Business Administration at WHU Koblenz, Germany, at Austral Universidad, Buenos Aires, Argentina and Emory University, Atlanta, Georgia.
