Claire Figel
Claire Figel works at Amazon Web Services (AWS) as the Strategy and Engagement Lead for Global Executive Relations. Before joining Amazon, Claire served on the professional staff of the U.S. Senate Foreign Relations Committee, where she advised committee leadership on foreign aid, public diplomacy, and management and operations for the State Department and several other U.S. agencies. Prior to the Senate, she worked on the professional staff of the U.S. House Foreign Affairs Committee covering Western Hemisphere affairs. Claire was born and raised in Washington, DC and received her Bachelor of Arts from Bucknell University. She graduated from Georgetown University’s Walsh School of Foreign Service with a Master of Arts in Security Studies in May 2024, and was a two-time Bryce Harlow Foundation Fellow, recognized for her leadership potential in the government relations and advocacy field.
