Contantinos Stefou Loizides
Contantinos Stefou Loizides is Chairman of Executive Committee and Managing Director of AstroBank Public Co Ltd. Since March 2019 he has taken the lead of AstroBank in Cyprus. Before that he was an ExCo member of Piraeus Bank SA, the largest at the time Greek Bank (2007-2019). He has also served as Chairman of Cyprus Airways (2003-2005); Vice Chairman and Managing Director of Hellenic Bank (1996-2005); Managing Director of Bankers Trust Co (1981-1996). Also, non-executive Chairman or member of the Board of a number of public and non-public companies. Finally, served on the board of numerous not for profit organizations, including the Commission on Financial Services and Insurance of the International Chamber of Commerce in Paris; the Boston registered Cyprus American Archaeological Research Institute; the Cyprus Employers and Industrialists Association; and currently is the main sponsor and founder of the Junior Achievement/ Young Entrepreneurship (Cyprus Branch); member of the MIT Executive Board for Europe, Middle East and South Asia, and lately of the Trilateral Commission. Worked in South Africa, New York, Bahrain, London, Cyprus, Cairo and Athens. Graduate of the Massachusetts Institute of Tehcnology (1981) and Imperial College of Science and Technology (1979).
