David N. Bernstein, MD, PhD, MBA, MEI is an orthopaedic surgery resident physician in the Harvard Combined Orthopaedic Residency Program (HCORP) based out of Mass General Brigham/Harvard Medical School and senior researcher at Harvard Business School. He is a prolific clinician-scholar, health care strategist, and health care transformation expert sought after in the U.S. and worldwide for his expertise in tackling some of health care’s toughest challenges. David is a former participant of the Presidential Leadership Scholars (PLS) program and the invite-only Emerging Leaders Forum at the National Academy of Medicine (NAM), which recognizes early- and mid-career professionals with exceptional professional promise, achievement, and leadership in health and related fields. He holds degrees from Bowdoin College, the University of Rochester, the University of Leiden, and the University of Luxembourg, where he was a Fulbright Scholar.
