F. Peter Mitterbauer
F. Peter Mitterbauer has been Chairman and CEO of Miba AG since 2013, leading the family business in the third generation. The company develops and produces technologies for the sustainable generation, transmission, storage and use of energy and is a leading strategic partner of the international engine and automotive industries. Miba is headquartered in Laakirchen, Austria, has 30 production sites worldwide with an annual revenue of about 1 Billion € and around 7,500 employees in Europa, Asia and the Americas. Before taking over the CEO responsibility in 2013, Peter has been in charge for the Miba Friction Division the years before. He joined the family business in 2006 where he was based in China for the Business Development in Asia for the Sinter Division. From 2002 until 2005 he was employed as Sales Manager at Stölzle Oberglas/Austria and from 2001 until 2002 as Project Leader at Webasto AG/Germany. He obtained his MBA from INSEAD (France and Singapore) in July 2006 and his Master of Science (DI) in Industrial Engineering from Technical University of Vienna, Austria in the year 2000. Further he attended the Politecnico di Torino, ERASMUS Exchange Program (Torino, Italy). Since 2016, Peter serves as Vice President of the Federation of Austrian Industries in Upper Austria (IV OÖ) and since 2020, he is also Vice President of the Federation of Industries in Austria (IV). Since 2020, Peter is also a member of the Supervisory Board of Oberbank AG.
