Gerda Holzinger-Burgstaller
Gerda Holzinger-Burgstaller has been Chief Executive Officer of Erste Bank Oesterreich since January 1, 2021. She has nearly two decades of experience in the financial industry, including 14 years at Erste. In July 2019, she was appointed CFO and CRO of Erste Bank Oesterreich. Between 2011 and 2019, Holzinger-Burgstaller held various senior positions in Erste Group’s General Secretariat and supported Erste’s management team in various corporate milestones such as the spin-off of Erste Group, the capital increase in 2013 and the issuance and redemption of Erste Group’s participation capital. Holzinger-Burgstaller started her career at the Austrian Financial Market Authority (FMA) before joining Erste Bank in 2006. Between 2017 and 2019, she volunteered on the management board of the socially oriented “Zweite Wiener Vereins-Sparcasse”. Holzinger-Burgstaller graduated from the Vienna University of Economics and Business (WU) and holds a double degree in economics (2003) and law (2010).
