Guy Elliott is Deputy chairman and Senior Independent Director of SAB Miller plc in London. He is a Non-executive director of Royal Dutch Shell plc, where he chairs the Audit Committee. He is a member of the UK Takeover Panel, where he chairs the Code Committee. He is Chairman of the Trustees of Sir John Soane’s Museum, and on the advisory board of the Fundação Dom Cabral. From 2002 until 2013, Guy Elliott was Chief Financial officer of Rio Tinto, a company he joined in 1980 on leaving INSEAD. During his earlier career he carried out a variety of marketing, general management, strategic and business development roles, including three years as president of Rio Tinto Brasil. He was a director of Cadbury plc, latterly as senior independent director, from 2007 until its takeover in 2010. He read modern history at Oxford.
