James Kondo

James is Chairman of International House of Japan. The mission of I-House is “to contribute to building a free, open, and sustainable future through intellectual dialogue, policy research, and cul tural exchange with a diverse world.” James is also Senior Advisor of OpenAI, Co-Chair of Silicon Valley Japan Platform, Global Board Member and Japan Co-Chair of Asia Society, and Trustee and Visiting Professor at Keio Medical School. Previously, James was Chairman of Twitter Japan and Vice President of Twitter Inc, Senior Advisor to the Cabinet Office of the Japanese Government, and a consultant at McKinsey. He has been selected Young Global Leader at the World Economic Forum, Asia 21 Fellow at Asia Society, Weizsäcker Fellow at Robert Bosch Academy, and Inamori Fellow at Inamori Foundation. James graduated from Keio University and Harvard Business School, and was a World Fellow at Yale University, Visiting Scientist at MIT Media Lab and a Visiting Professor at Hitotsubashi Business School.
