Joachim Lang took over as Director General of BDI – Federation of German Industries in 2017 in Berlin. Prior to that, Dr. Joachim Lang, who holds a doctorate in law, headed the Berlin representative office of the DAX-listed company E.ON for nine years. Dr. Lang’s career also includes the work for the Federal Chancellery, where he coordinated the German government’s European policy during Germany’s EU Council presidency in 2007, the CDU/CSU parliamentary group in the Bundestag, the Bundesrat and the Federal Ministry of Defense.
