Kuniharu Nakamura is the Chairman of the Board of Directors of Sumitomo Corporation. He joined Sumitomo is 1974 after graduating from Osaka University, and has served in a number of positions including General Manager of the Corporate Planning and Coordination Department and the Mineral Resources, Energy, Chemical and Electronics Business Unit. Mr. Nakamura is also a member of the boards of NEC Corporation and Shin-Etsu Chemical Co., Ltd. He is a Vice-Chair of the Japan Business Federation (Keidanren), and Chairman of the Keidanren Committee on Trade and Investment.
