Luc Tayart de Borms was Managing Director of the King Baudouin Foundation until 1 May 2022.
He obtained a Master’s Degree in Moral Sciences at the Ghent University. He has over 30 years of experience in various organisations: President of the Network of European Foundations (2004 – …), Member of the European Policy Centre (2003 – …), Strategy Committee member of the European Venture Philanthropy Association (2005 – …), Treasurer of the King Baudouin Foundation United States (1997 – …), Council Member of the King Baudouin Foundation Canada (2017 – …), President of the Board of Governors of the European Foundation Centre (2000 – 2004), Council member of the European Cultural Foundation (2000 – 2008) and Board member (2002 – 2005) and International Committee member (2002 – 2006) of the Council on Foundations (USA). He is (co-)author of several publications, including Global Philanthropy (2010), Philanthropy in Europe (2008) and Foundations – Creating Impact in a Globalised World (2005).
