Shigesuke Kashiwagi
Shigesuke Kashiwagi is a Senior Advisor for EQT AB, one of Europe’s largest alternative asset management companies, assisting the firm in developing its local presence in Japan. He is also a co-founder and Managing Partner of Bwac JAPAN, which provides consulting services in finance and art. He serves on the Board of Directors of Tokai Tokyo Securities Co., Ltd., a mid-sized securities company, and provides advisory services to three start-up companies in the finance sector. Shigesuke spent 34 years at Nomura, with more than half of his career spent on the trading floors of the fixed income division in Tokyo, New York, and London. He held four executive roles, including Global Head of Fixed Income, Regional Head for the Americas, Global Head of Regulatory Affairs, and CFO before leaving the firm in 2016. From 2016 to 2020, he served as Country Head of Japan for Schroders, a British asset management company.
