Stefano Gandolfo
Stefano Gandolfo is completing his doctorate in Chinese Philosophy at the University of Oxford. His thesis explores how knowledge was traditionally organized in China, before the introduction of western categories in the 20th century. He pursued his undergraduate studies at Yale University where he double-majored in Economics and Philosophy (cum laude; Honors in Philosophy). Subsequently, he attended Peking University where he completed his Master’s degree (taught in Mandarin) in Chinese Philosophy (cum laude, Exceptional Thesis Award, Outstanding International Student Award). Beyond academia, Stefano has a strong interest in politics, finance, and media and has worked for the European Parliament, Taishan Capital, a boutique investment bank, and the Sinica Podcast, the leading platform on contemporary affairs in China. Stefano was raised in a Greek-Italian family and in his free time enjoys reading novels and listening to David Bowie and Greek Hip-Hop.
