Tobby is the Founder and President of Synergia Foundation, a strategic do tank which works to develop impactful solutions in the areas of geo-economics and geo-security. He is also the President of the Synergia Group, a business advisory and Incubation Company that is primarily involved in translational research. Tobby has over thirty years of inter-disciplinary expertise in healthcare, cyber security, aerospace, energy security, counter terrorism and international affairs. His success in the industry won him several accolades, including the National Certificate of Merit for Exports from the Government of India in 1992. Tobby is a Commissioner of The Global Commission on Internet Governance (GCIG) and served as a member of the advisory board for the Centre for New American Security (CNAS), an International Council Member of the Belfer Centre for Science and International affairs at the John F Kennedy School in Harvard University and the Harris School of Public Policy at the University of Chicago, and an advisor to both Medicines’ Sans Frontier (MSF) and AEDES (EU). Tobby has a Master’s in Business Administration, a university topper and was a special invitee of the Indian Prime Minister. He is a graduate of the Harvard Business School and a Research Associate at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT).
